Charitable Art was started in July 2006. The idea was to create a way where I could have fun with my art, recoup expenses and give to charity. See the "About Page" for a complete list of the supported charities. You, the purchaser, can determine which charity from the list to support when you make a purchase. The recipient charity will send a thank you receipt for your records, you get the tax deduction. If you want your own special charity to be the recipient, I would gladly consider that for enough orders - contact me - we can talk about it. Charitable Art primarily offers handmade, handpainted tiles using the Cuerda Seca method which utilizes dry black lines to separate the glazes. Consider having a one-of-a-kind customized pet portrait done. Just send your favorite pet photo and it will be recreated on a tile. Choose your tile size 4 1/4"x 4 1/4" or 6"x 6". Then decide whether to have it framed or boxed, or in the case of the smaller tile it can be done on a garden stake. Fused glass is being offered by other local artists besides myself. Current glass artists are Jeff Becker, Jeanie and Dan Fish, and Pat Webber. Other media artists include Gene Berg and Wendy Worth.
